The Root River Quick Change Inline Spinner incorporates a snap which allows you to quickly change the hook. There are multiple reasons you may want to change the hooks. Here are a few:
- An aspect of fishing the streams and rivers is exploring what is around the next corner. With the Quick Change you might be fishing fast flowing narrow rapids near a spring and slow moving wider deeper waters the next. This allows you to add a different color hook or even a bucktail.
- The fish just do not seem to be hitting at the usual rate. The difference could be the hook style. You could switch colored treble hooks or even go with a single hook versus a treble hook, totally changing the spinners profile.
- You are a fly fisherman and want to try some flys on a spinner.
- A weedless hook is needed.
- You do not like barbed hooks (catch/release or maybe fishing with young children) or cannot use barbed hooks on the waters you are fishing. No more pinching the barbs, you can easily switch the hooks to barbless. Root River Lures sell a package of barbless hooks that can be used to replace the existing treble hooks.
