Love of fishing
Root River Lures is a small business owned by Wayne and Carol Carrigan. All of the products are handcrafted in our small shop. Wayne does most of the work with the help from his Grandsons. In fact, we hope to offer in the near future some lures carved by the oldest Grandson, Parker. Our primary home is on the Root River south of Chatfield, Minnesota. We are 90′ from some of the best trout and smallmouth fishing. All of the inline spinners are first tested on the Root River. We also have a cabin on a lake north of Bemidji. That is where we test our walleye spinners, bucktails, and inline spinners for bass and panfish. Our ice fishing lures have been tested on the back waters of the Mississippi and Lake of the Woods. We have a small Pro-Staff that consists of family and friends.

One of our goals is to provide fishing opportunities for the youth. We help support multiple organizations either through education or donations. Some of the groups that we are currently working with are:
